Dear Clients, We have received notification from our partners in CHINA that SHANGHAI is entering lockdown from today MON 28th MAR until TUE 5th APRIL. Information on hand currently, indicates that the wharf / terminals will still be operational, however other sectors of the supply chain may be heavily impacted, such as truckers, warehouse workers, customs. Please liaise directly with your suppliers to gain information firsthand as to the impact on their ability to get your goods out. We are expecting impact not only to import cargo into Australia ex CHINA over the coming 1-2 x weeks, but potential longer impact. One major concern is empty containers, we are unsure how this lockdown will impact on the movement of empty containers into and around Shanghai and other cities in lockdown. Kind regards,
