Dear Clients,

We have received advice of the proposed increase to the Quarantine Processing Charge that forms part of the FID Electronic Entry fee for Sea freight consignments. Should the increase be approved then the new charges will commence 16th January 2023.

This is the fee that is charged on the formal customs declaration (entry) and is a GOVERNMENT FEE, not a Transways Fee.

Air freight consignments are not impacted.

The department is currently undertaking an initial public consultation process on the proposed changes, but we fully expect these increases to proceed.

Transways will confirm to you, once we receive formal notification.
