Dear Clients,

EMERGENCY FUEL SURCHARGES (AIRFREIGHT TERMINAL OPERATIONS) - APR-26

The ongoing Middle East conflict and resulting increase in fuel costs are starting to seep into all elements of global supply chains not only driven by direct costs such as air, ocean and trucking rates.

Effective 1st April, a surcharge will apply to the Terminal Operations of import and export airfreight shipments, that is required to move cargo to and from airport. This surcharge will be levied at 20% against charge lines:-

Import shipments:
Import Terminal Fee (ITF)

Export shipments:
Transfer
Screening/X-ray

This increase will not be invoiced as a separate line but will be included in the above mentioned charges.

Once fuel price movements stabilise and market conditions normalise, we expect these Emergency Fuel Surcharge to be removed as carriers remove them.
