WHAT’S THE LATEST STRIKE ACTION NEWS

Below please see a quick summary of industrial action and the impact around the country.

QUBE FREMANTLE

DONE, FINALIZED and BACK TO WORK.  Both QUBE and their workers have come to an agreement. This should see Ro/Ro vessels stop by-passing Fremantle and the lengthy delays on obtaining cargo shorten.

PATRICKS BRISBANE & FREMANTLE 

More Strikes, More Impact.
See the planned stoppages at both Brisbane and Fremantle down below.  Fremantle importers experienced container ship PHOEBE V139S bypass Fremantle and instead call Adelaide.  With Fremantle Cargo now bouncing back around on another VSL in the coming days / week.

PATRICK PORTS AUSTRALIA AVERAGE WAIT TIME

SYDNEY – VSL’S are delayed an average 3-5 days currently on berthing.

BRISBANE – 1 day currently, but with the pending strike action this could increase 

FREMANTLE – 8-9 x days. That’s right.  

MELBOURNE – Currently 5 – 10 x days, but could increase up to 12 – 14 x days with the current strike action.

FAIR WORK COMMISSION   

TUE 2nd NOV was the day the Fair Work Commission will sit to decide the application of PATRICK to terminate the strike action.  At time of publication a result had not been published / reported on.
We wait for good news 

FREMANTLE AND BRISBANE UPDATED ACTION 

Brisbane Terminal:

• A stoppage of work of 4-hours duration commencing at 0300 on Tuesday 9 November 2021.
• A stoppage of work of 4-hours duration commencing at 0300 on Friday 12 November 2021.
• A stoppage of work of 4-hours duration commencing at 1100 on Tuesday 9 November 2021.
• A stoppage of work of 4-hours duration commencing at 1100 on Friday 12 November 2021.
• A stoppage of work of 4-hours duration commencing at 1900 on Tuesday 9 November 2021.
• A stoppage of work of 4-hours duration commencing at 1900 on Friday 12 November 2021.
• A stoppage of work of 1-hour duration commencing at 0330 on Wednesday 10 November 2021.
• A stoppage of work of 1-hour duration commencing at 1130 on Wednesday 10 November 2021.
• A stoppage of work of 1-hour duration commencing at 1930 on Wednesday 10 November 2021.

Fremantle Terminal:

• A ban on the performance of upgrades and/or work in higher levels commencing at 0700 on Saturday 6 November 2021 and ceasing at 0700 on Monday 8 November 2021.
• A ban on the performance of upgrades and/or work in higher levels commencing at 0700 on Saturday 13 November 2021 and ceasing at 0700 on Monday 15 November 2021.
• Stoppages of work of 1-hour duration at 0500, 1300 and 2100 each day (excluding Saturdays and Sundays) commencing on Sunday 7 November 2021 and ceasing on Saturday 20 November 2021.
