Transways Logistics International has received notice from DP WORLD AUSTRALIA (wharf / terminal operator Australia wide) that effective from 1st JANUARY 2019, they will be increasing “Infrastructure Access Surcharges” Australia wide.

Industry bodies are alarmed at the price increase (Varying from $15 – $35 per container nationally) and have asked Government bodies including the ACCC to rein in these practices.

DP WORLD AUSTRALIA commented “to ensure a sustainable future in an increasingly competitive market, DP WORLD AUSTRALIA is continuing the journey to rebalance revenue recovery from waterside to landside”

Further to the above, DP world have also advised that they will be increasing the “Electronic Vehicle Booking System” on the 1st January 2019 also.

It is disappointing that such price increases are being applied to market, when trading conditions for both importers and exporters are extremely difficult given the current global, economic and weather events.

Transways Logistics International are awaiting updated pricing structures from our Trucking providers, to confirm the applicable price levels that will apply from 1st JANUARY 2019.

We will be in touch with you over the coming weeks / months
